What wheels are these?

Rota Grid? Rota Grid drift? What's the difference? Plan on owning something similar to the above next year, these are my first choice of wheels (depending on how much they cost ;)).

Any other wheels look this good on a blobeye?

Cheeeeeerz.

Most awesome wheels ever IMO. I've said before I'd have a set if they didn't look daft on a Clio!

Rota Grid? Rota Grid drift?

Rota Grids have the same sort of design but are flat faced, Rota Grid Drifts are like the one above, have a lower ET, because the centre is much further inwards than the spokes which bank outwards...if that makes sense? lol

The ones shown may not actually be Rota's but those are the differences :)

Ah cheers, I love the 'indented' look of the second ones and the OP. Are these or the OP ones expensive new/used?

their 18's, he's gone for 205/35/18's but would probably be better with 215/40 cos its a bit crashy!

  Turbos.
Volks are more expensive, which is why a lot of people have Rotas. I don't really know how Rota get away with ripping off so many designs.

original post i think

Ahhh. That makes sense! lol. Umm, nah they're not mate. Rota are copy wheels of Volks, Rays and other Japenese style wheels. Rota's are relatively cheap though. :D The only problem with the Grid Drift is because of the low ET they are in a larger size and width than you'd probably want to put on a Clio. Although they have recently brought them out in a 4x100. Smallest size is 16x8.

However, my mate bought some for his MK3 Golf Cabby and the centre of the wheel is really wide so had to have the edge of them shaved off to fit his callipers without hitting them :S. They fit fine now though! lol

I've still been looking at these in all honesty. You could make them fit a Clio with a cheeky bit of camber on the rears :rasp:

And the originals (like in the picture probably) Volks and such like are pretty expensive.

Not the same wheels, but it shows you how expensive they are! :dead:

The Rota versions are £528 for 4x100 16x8's. lol :D

  Mustang, S13, AX GT
Ultralite do a similar style called Atec, a little bit cheaper than the rota's again and should fit a clio. I've been looking for them for a while but wont be able to afford them for a while either :(

  White Sti Hatch
TE37's awesome wheels got them on my 9 and they weight f**k ALL ! but man there expensive !

Just to clarify, the wheels in the first pic arent Volk TE37's.
What are they?

I want some just like the ones in the OP, just cheaper. They don't have to be proper light or high-performing thingies, purely for looks!

the reason volk or rays engineering wheels (rays is the company they make volks, gramlites etc) are more expensive is because they are forged rims, normally made from magnesium not some cheap alloy like rotas, ultra lites are better wheels if you wanna go cheaper, seen alot of problems and failures with rotas, like the guy in here said his mate needed to get them milled or shaved to fit his calipers, if you buy rays wheels they make them to your spec, you dont have to f**k about with stuff like that, if its not for anything serious then rota will be fine however its like buying a fake watch or handbag, it might look the same but when you compare quality there is a huge difference... you can get a set of te37's second hand for about 500 quid i would rather buy some tatty second hand te37's and get them refurbed than buy rotas...

oh and inovite wheels are even worse than rotas lol
