Car Shampoos

I have used loads over the last 10 years or so and some work and some dont.

Was just wondering what you guys suggest and what you wouldnt?

DoDo Juice Supernatural.

Amazing stuff. No smell and just purely for cleaning.

Wouldnt suggest:

Chemical guys Maxi Suds 2

Did nothing and struggled to get it to bubble up nice.

For washing, Megs Gold Glass everytime. Or the Duragloss stuff, but not used it in time.

Start with a clean/protected car and your shampoo is going to make very little difference.

Got to admit i have a couple of bottles of the megs Gold Glass in my box and its good stuff on a budget. Also good point on the clean/protect but they do a better job than Fairy liquid

:lolup: i cleaned my mums old Nissan micra in Fairy and it had major rust issues when it was only 3 years old mind you this was about 15 years ago

I've tried a few different shampoo's... Autoglym, Megs Nxt Tech, Megs Gold Class, Duragloss 901, Zymol Autowash, Dodo Juice BTBM.

And my favorite is Dodo Juice BTBM

I use Dodo juice Sour power, smells so nice and seems to last for ages as its consentrated.

Appears to give the paintwork a nice glossy finish after washing too

I user super snow foam through the lance.... let it soak and rinse off with clean water.

Then I get a bucket with hot water and add a spash of

Auto Glym Shampoo
Megs Gold Class
If its mega dirty then a tiny amount if APC

f**k measuring it though, just squirt it like you would on some pert tities!

Maxi sudds II has lasted me a year and a bit, Washed twice a week in summer and rarely in winter. Foams nicely, Smells good.. Seems to work well to me.

Going to try the supernatural shampoo next.

I have one layer of sealant on the car, I'm sure my car won't die if the sealant gets stripped off! I'll be giving it a good detail in the new year.

Lol at the mis-understanding. What I meant fella is;

A; it will strip layers of wax off the car, so if you use it, just don't bother sealing the car.

B; one layer of sealent isn't a good thing! More layers, with in reason, the better. It gives the car protection from the elements, plus makes it easier to wash/take the tar off/stop it sticking!

On another note, I've also been spraying APC mixed 3:1 as a mock snowfoam, will these strip any wax etc?
