the reason the recaros wear is that renault did the seat covering and not recaro themselves hence the quality is shat

Good move! All the things you hate about the 182, the gruffness, sloppy gearchange, seating will be a distant memory! Also sound ace as standard!. I came from a 172 /182 to a 197 and loved it! Gone back to a 172 to help the house fund, while its nice, the i miss the 197

You can apply all of those to the 182 though.

More of a sideways move IMO. I would have opted for the R26.

yes, can be applied to 182...fantastic wee car. but once you make the change, IMO, you will be very pleased.

i don't think it is a side ways move. i think it is progress, evolved moved for people who still like smallish hothatchs. r26 is different class of car, up there with golfs, astra, focus etc.

i wouldn't be gutted if i had to move back to a 182, i just much prefer the wheel i'm currently sitting behind (all IMO of course )

No mate, the Recaros I've got (Trendlines) don't have wear issues
