The new MINI

tbh with an aerogrill and r112s in black it will look the sex.

If you want a R56 Cooper S kit, my mate has one for sale £350 all in, currently in DS. PM me for details if your interested. His was an 08 plate so should fit okay.

Forgot I started this thread.

I like the color more everytime I look at it. Reason for the uncertainty is this is a new colour on the hatch and I have only seen it on the vert. This is one of the first cars in this combination. This was a week 10 build with the new engines starting on week 9 build.

Plans are new bonnet stripes, new scuttle pannel with clear indicators and maybe an aero grille. New R112's or bullets later on in the year when I had some use of of these tyres.

Daytoz: It's a cooper. New engine with 122bhp. Can't live with the standard headlights so xenons was a must. Wish it has dynamic conering lights like the octavia but at least it is bi-xenon.

what do you mean new engine ? xenons are a must imo

^^ new range of engines in the cooper now, more powerful and more efficient. Bi Xenons have been specced on that model.

what a set of harsh c***s, no need to rip the guy down like that personal oppinion is a strange thing and you have to respect other peoples. your like a flock of circling vultures ready to pick lumps off the lad!

I don't mind the comments tbh. I buy a car for my own enjoyment. I just don't expect to sell this. lol

Finally picked it up yesterday after some confusion at the dealers.

Took a pic of the mileage as it is such a rare sight. :)

God I f**king HATE that interior. It'd be like driving around with a kitchen wall clock on the dashboard.

Rest of the car is ok if you want a Mini.

Gonna go against here and say i LOVE the mini! cooper s convertible in red with black stripes is almost orgasm to me! and no, im not a homosexual. Like yellow cars, always wanted a clio 182 in LY, nice car choice mate!

R112s are rare and verrrrry expensive! Surely it'd made sense to buy a 6 month old Cooper S for the same money? Better engine and extra toys already included?

Insurance - Higher
Fuel Consumption - Higher
Interest Rate (on used vehicles) - Higher

A 6 month old cooper S isn't quite the same money when you look at the running cost.

You're looking at an extra £100 a month at least IMO.

Am I missing something here??? What is so special about this car and makes it soooo expensive??

I missed the price Colshe mouf?

I paid 12k for my 06 works last year and it was one of the best moves i've ever made, i love it!!

This is my reasoning behind the question.

One reason for a new one was I had a car that needed to be scrapped so may aswell get £2k instead of £100. Being limited to a new car with the scrapper meant the S was more than I wanted to pay.

How much was it?

List was £15.7k. I know it is quite expensive compared to a Clio even with its perspective discount applied but residual is better and aftersales is much better than a Renault dealer.

Got some new bits arriving soon.

fair play for going with a marmite colour, just needs some nice wheels and lowering which will change the whole car imo........

A Cooper S Turbo will do 36-40mpg if you drive sensibly... 42-44 on a motorway run, 30 around town. We've had 3 or 4 Cooper's as courtesy cars, there was little to no difference in fuel economy.

Interest rate - agree but depends on how the car is financed - cash purchase/personal loan or PCP

Insurance - yeah probably but worth the extra IMO

Of course the £2k scrappage fee does make a new car more within reach I'd guess!

It really is different on each situation. In my situation a S would cost way too much to insure with no NCB and two accidents.

I'm considering the aero grille but needs the front de-chromed to pull it off IMO. Got some new side scuttles coming to replace these boring ones then some graphics. Still undecided on the wheels, would like some bullets from the vert.

Just gave it another couple of coats of wax so took a few pics.

the best thing may be to keep it as it is, if you wanted all these mods then you would've selected them before buying, keep it as it is untill you're used to its look/bored then go for change.

i drive a new mini alot as its the gf's an it handles great......that is all
cba lookin at your profile but if you are male an you bought that
you need sectioning
that is all

I like.

The new 1.6 has a decent amount of torque for a car that size... just needs bedding in a bit.

Remap will see in increase in: bhp, torque and MPG (depending on the driver). Nowhere near the gains seen on turbos, but decent enough IMO.

Is it the same engine as your C4? I think I'm more than pleased with the performance for now. Averaging 35MPG on short trips with 60miles on the clock.

The more I look at it the more I like it. It really does change colour as the light changes.

Probably doesn't change to a better one though :p
