new spark plugs - change of exhaust sound?

  clio 182
as some of you might know, my 182 broke down again on saturday and the AA guy put different sparkies in, old ngk sparkies and and he recommended putting champion plugs back in, so he did... (before any1 says "only use NGK etc etc" alot of people have commented on that, on another thread so no more please)
since running the new plugs since saturday ive notice my exhaust sound a little louder? not by much but i think noticable to me.
is this possible or is it just me?

cheers

lol its you mate, unless one plug was fucked and blowing air out, but that wouldnt change the exhaust note

Also, i wont go on about the plugs, as you have asked, but there was something written by Renaultsport saying the correct NGK's are the only plugs to be used with this engine, Fred has it iirc.

I put Super 4's in mine, gave a terrible missfire so bought the right ones and sorted it :)

So were the plugs the cause of your breakdown chap?

^^ can still be new and fooked.

Tbh its probably just you being paranoid. It drives fine ?
i think it is this! yeah drives fine,

yes but it previously had a missfire i beleive? causing it to throw unburned fuel down the exhaust.

found out the garage replaced all sparkies about 2months ago, and am guessing it was missfiring due to the trapped spark plug lead..
