Slimline/Underseat Active Subwoofers

I'm thinking of buying a slimline sub, not too keen on the full size versions and not that bothered about massive bass.

I've been looking around and can only find a few. I'm currently swaying towards this one, going on the price and power values:
BOSS Audio Slimline Subwoofer

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with these, or has any other recommendations?

From experience this type of unit is not really worth the money. everyone ive talked to is pretty dissapointed with them tbh. Maybe an 8" mounted in a small enclosure would be better? can get some 8's that require next to no space.

What kind of enclosure is it mate?


I'm thinking of ditching the sub idea now, and upgrading to some 6.5" components properly mounted and sound deadened.
