Whats the best/easiest way to remove one without a ramp?

I've searched and can't find the info i'm after..

drop the subframe down a bit engine crane the engine up, done

Dont have a crane and dont know how to drop the subframe...

no need to touch the subframe, the sump will come out with a bit of twisting and turning if you get the engine high enough

Mounts off then jack the engine up till the alternator hits the slam panel?

take the bumper and slam panel out too if you're not dropping the subframe
