Had my BTB Stealth system today by an average Joe tyre and exhaust place near me, they along with me were very impressed with the quality and fitment of the system, couldn’t ask for more tbh. The second back box hanger is a godsend, this system is miles lighter/better made & easier to fit than a K-tec stealth, I can’t comment on the Yozza stealth as ive never owned one.

Sound wise with a cat fitted its very quiet with a slight grunt here and there but nothing that intrudes into the cabin. Its defiantly quieter than a K-tec system with the midbox option and miles quieter than the K-tec supersport system without a midbox as you would expect.

Its more than I wanted to spend on an exhaust but its defiantly worth the extra cash over the K-tec system imo, would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want a stupidly loud exhaust that still gives the most performance possible

No like I said I am old!

was just too droney for my wife on her motorway journey to work, I didn't believe her, then I had to drive to heathrow a few nights in a row from kent, drove me mad, the stealth ninja is standard quiet which is what I now realised I wanted all along.

I don't think the noise level is an age thing. Of all the Clio systems that have sold, BTB has only had two comments on the noise level. Out of those two, only one was bothered enough to have the system changed - hence the BTB Ninja was born. It's become clear to BTB over the years that we all have different ideas and different tolerances of noise levels and frequencies. Coupled to that, the type of regular journey that we do is also very different from each other. A system may have un-pleasant frequency say at 70mph. This would bother someone who has a sensibility to this particular frequency and regularly commutes on dual carriageways and motorways. Another person may not be bothered by the sound, and another may just use their car on B road blasts not achieving a steady 70mph at any time of the journey or maybe they are a 'spirited' driver and regularly accelerate through this point - on a private road of course. Personally the regular BTB stealth is perfect for me - just enough of a noise to remind you where your money has gone.

it was me who got the 1st Ninja!

I say old as in my younger days my cars had various levels of loudness (just loud from sh1tty backbox on a nova sr) and frequencies of noise via dump valves and ss exhausts. After 10 or so years driving standard cars I have got used to silence...well apart from rattles,

Think I paid £600 for mine, can't remember if that was with CAT modding, but well worth it. Great system. You get what you pay for. Soooooo easy to fit. I doubt Joe will lower it, plus it keeps mine a bit more exclusive

BTB on my shopping list now, I was taken for a spin in a BTB equiped 172 last night (Cheers P@blo), sounds great, not much louder than standard most of the time. Although to be honest, i won't be able to hear it due to the noise in my car from the uprated mounts!

build quality is on par with the YS stuff, but noise wise its not as quiet as you think, quite boomy IMO (and i'm being honest)

Fred fitted this exhaust for me today, these are my observations:

The mid section silencer could be smaller, I think the yozza mid section I saw was a better design, the cylindrical shape is more pleasing to an engineering eye.

The tig welding is to a high standard

It is very easy to fit

I think the back box to centre section should be joined by an oval flange, not a compression clamp. I'm sure it’s not essential, but consistent means of jointing pipe work is a must in my opinion.

I was surprised by the weight of the back box; the extra hangar is definitely a good idea

I don't think anyone should buy this exhaust if you want an oem sound, it is a big change

The exhaust is quiet when cruising on the motorway, but the slightest application of throttle does cause a booming sound (I had the back seats down and the parcel shelf removed on the return journey from BTM)

I can completely understand why the ninja system is being developed, i'm uncertain as to whether this is an ideal everyday motorway commute exhaust.

I enjoy tunnels an awful lot more now

The radio has to be about 30% louder to compensate for the exhaust noise

I will update you when the car is in its natural environment, a good b road blast will probably have me singing its praises.

It’s probably too early to be conclusive, but I am happy with the build quality, surprised how loud the exhaust is and think it could lose some weight.

I will put the parcel shelf on and the seats back up and see if this makes a noticeable difference.

Fred is a gentleman and I have learnt an awful lot today, someone tell him to stop for dinner and have a day off, he is committed to say the least.

Sorry yes, clio went crabbing at roundabout, fred seems to be some kind of cyborg from the future. Cyborg does not get up earlier than 10am though and BTM is changing its name to cyberdyne systems, special discount on skynet suspension system with cats p!ss gearbox oil.

Report on Fred's fitment and setup of b14's to follow, i haven't banged my head or said f**k once since having the apex springs removed. I think i am now riding in a rolls royce, with french squeaks.

I can't see how you can say its boomy, mine is so quiet its untrue. And also as for weight when I unpacked it all it seemed very light compared to my old Ktec.

The BTB does tend to make more noise at lower revs ive found after a few days of driving, at A road speeds 60/80mph I can't even notice its fitted unless im flat to the floor and even then the noise is minimal.

End of the day, I didn't wanna spend another £100 on a Yozza stealth. I was happy to spend an extra £50 on the BTB over the Ktec price after owning 2 previously. But anyone who says the system is loud I would highly disagree with after owning various other Clio systems.
