not really. I would happily bet money on which will last longer. Our Supersprint race stealth system is 14kg with a mid silencer and 9kg for a single rear backbox version. Also one point to note is a smaller bore will be lighter.

Would you say the scorpions better built than the BTB Kev? I've never actually had a look at one in any great detail.

Whats the bore on the s/sprint-is it 2.25? You running it with their sports cat or just straight through?

Found various YS 'test vids' on youtube as to sound comparison, really want a 'stealth exhaust' with noise activation only when treaded on the tail.

Instead of O.E.M. might aswell go through the aftermarket routing.

Fred, was it you who did some dyno trialling of 2.25 versus 2.5" a while back I cant remember. Curious how the 2.25" would run with the 4-2-1 mani.

I would never pick a scorpion exhaust over the top end clio exhausts on the market. BTB, Yozza and Supersprint are far better quality. Not been able to compare a Ktec one yet, but their stealth one likes to peak under the bumper so is poor in backbox design. Supersprint race is 2.5" I'm running it with the twin car currently. Will be doing some videos once we've finished moving the business (end of July) then decatting for some more tests though i might fit the resonator decat as I have to drive the car.

Curious about the 2.25" with the 4-2-1 seeing as the general consensus would appear to suggest the 4-1 would favour the peaky flat shifting setup on the racers. Just wondered if on the comparatively transitional road boxes you'd see see any significant improvement on torque delivery below peak output? Did you ever go as far as to fully fabricate a 2.25" yoz race system Fred?

We basically brought back the race system into production but we made some changes as well. We wanted a stealth backbox and a mid silencer version too. We are exclusive sellers in the UK so not sure if it will appear on the website. Look here for pictures For some reason Jon has not put many pictures on the site despite me taking loads. Our stealth backbox is smaller than the Yozza and BTB. Although this means the rear mount is hardly strained, it will be louder in comparison. Sounds amazing when above 5k rpm though so i'm not sure I care.
Got to buy a db reader for some tests...and a video camera...

We are working closely with Supersprint to redo much of their ranges at least for here in the uk so you will find more unique exhaust systems on our site. We like to keep up with the fashion trends!
Not sure how it looks awful. The whole point is you cannot see it. Thats what a stealth exhaust is... Maybe he is annoyed that he cannot get it so was trying to sell you something else.

Personally I think I'd rather sever off my pods with a blunt swiss army knife than fit another Ktax/Janetspeed system to my car ever again.

A customer was showing me his exhaust. His Ktec stealth peaks under the bumper. Not sure if thats just the weight collapsing old rubber hangers or its a design flaw. Probably the effect on the hangers but it would annoy me if I owned one.

As I replaced the old k-tec with the Supersprint I helped co-design with Kam Racing, I can tell you that the k-tec is clearly visibile from behind, even in black superstealth version.
I'm currently running the Supersprint 63 mm centre and rear exhaust, with a 182 manifold and a sports cat, but I have to say it's too loud for the road, so I'm going to fit a different centre section, and it'll probably be available from Kam Racing. I hope we can get the noise down a notch without using smaller pipes, just a bigger centre silencer, probably an oval one with different sections at the two ends, to avoid reducing the clearance under the car and using all the room available under the car without interference with the thermal shielding.
The Supersprint Stealth is currently an exclusive, but a few systems have been made for the Clio RS Italia club, which I'm a member of. One is on a car with the standard single cat and the owner is liking it very much, it's not too boomy, just a bit of drone at 2000 rpm on full load.
I hope we can get it done tomorrow, as I have a trip on the weekend, but the RS5 and the 1M are probably going to take too much time at the R&D department.

Sadly I haven't got an OEM exhaust, I could have tested the car on the MAHA dyno at work. I will do it anyway but there's no way to see what's the gain.
