There are others with more bhp than this, Adey's made 278bhp but on a different roller so pretty much the same. Not bad for completely standard 10 year old bottom end really, I won't be surprised if it goes pop but just means Matt earns some more money out of me lol

Took it out this morning, 2degree's started first time and ticks over near perfectly. Then up the road I went with NO BUNNY HOPPING :D whoop, final map is sorted then! Good times

Been out with Adey for a blast, these are some seriously quick cars, speedo vids to come tonight
 
Oh, and I'm torn between a tow car and trailer, or buy the forged bottom end now in anticipation of the big bang
 
I'd go for the car and trailer.

Atleast you can get home then if it goes pop! As soon as you have transport covered, your then truely open in terms of having fun with it as you don't need any fall back in terms of getting it to anywhere under it's own steam.

Yet to read through the entire thread, will comment more when I've had afew hours spare to do so! :)
 
Indeed they are quick, deceptively quick! Had a play with that new m3 on the way bk, side by side rolling I can start to pull a small lead, m3 pulls it bk in 5th gear but were talking 140+ speeds till it does that :-D
 
That is what I have just done grey, I managed to swop my meggy for a charged 182 and I am loving it, just have to not trust the fuel gage!!
 
jeez!! i did a vid of my speedo after the bodies and i looked at it and though ooooh it looks quick. in comparison it looks like it was in reverse!!

god damn boost wh0res!!
 
would you post that for me ;) my ego isnt big enough today lol. you've spent half the moniez though Dave, and will be more reliable.

i cant see my original standard clutch lasting much longer ha
 
ive no regrets, im still doing 30+ mpg too :rasp:

And weve prob spent the same when you factor in the cams etc!

Ill stick it on youtube when i get a mo!
 
I'll have to get a video of the megane when it has the new injectors and mapping ;)

Although I may save myself the embarrassment ;)

It's been dropping out of 2nd gear, really notchy when going from first to second...

Took it to Renault for them to investigate as a good will gesture, turns out the first and second gear detent's have worn / knackered!

So its going to replaced.

Excuse the dodgy camera angle, its the only way i could get the camera mount to sit! :o

Well, my gearbox hasn't shat itself out yet but is only a matter of time.

Spent an hour or so on it tonight, I wired up the fan relay to the EC1 with some phone assistance from burp, then tidied up the wiring for the last time. All looking good now.

New oil catch can fitted as well, none of this poncy red bull crap
