Cam covers ?

As above my cam covers are leaking and I just want to no do I need a new gasket or is it just sealant as my mates doin them next weekend let me no cheers

Its sealant, silicone gasket. Im guessing you know its a cambelt, cam pulley and camshaft out job when removing the cam cover on a 172/182?

Its just sealant mate, Ive always used stuff that stays tacky (hylomar etc) It doesnt leak ever again if done properley.

That was my next question cheers mate I think we will leave it then an just get it done when I get thecambelt done
