Colouring Interior

  GW 200
I am getting my dynamique colour coded next week and was thinking about getting my dash strips and the bit of plastic around the dials painted the same colour (nautical blue). Would this look any good?
Is it hard to take out the plastic around the dials or do it without taking the dash apart?
Would value some opinions, thanks.

Hey there mate,

I've actually done this, but instead of matching it up with the exterior, I went for a slightly darker metallic blue.

I would suggest either obtaining a set of dials from the breakers, or being careful with the surround, as I initially had a problem removing it and knocked the dials in the process. Haynes is the bible on this one, for the battery needs detaching (remember to note or make sure you have the radio code) removing the A pillar plastic, and make sure you have the suitable screwdriver for the screws on the dash.

I've sprayed up a fair amount inside mine, for I'm trying to get away from the constant black. I've done a photoshop mock up of mine a while back if you want a peak?

Also, where are you getting it all colour coded, as I've got to do that, but seeing as to whether its more cost effective to do it myself or not

If youve got a picture then that would be great so that I can get an idea of what it will look like.
May try and get one from a breakers, what happens if you do knock the dials? I have had the dash off before to fit some audio, are you able just to take out the dial surround out once you have done this?
A local bodyshop is doing it for me for £200 which I though wasn't too bad?

I'm having trouble with my internet (away and using dongle). I can send it to you via email if that's an option?

The dials pretty much have four points where the plastic surround is fixed, it's just a case of using a little force to separate it from the dials. I happened to scratch the dial face whilst I was doing it, but I was in a rush and didn't mask up my screwdriver.

I haven't looked into any prices for a bodyshop to spray up yet, have been considering spraying it all up myself, instead of sending it to a shop, but that seems like a pretty good price.

I'll be putting up a thread of what I've done so far soon, so hopefully can help you from that.

When I had a clio I had all that done (minus the bullets) for £120 with me supplying the paint so id push for them to do the others in the price!
