ive got a sti :(

anyway i couldnt live with having cash in my pocket and not having a car to waste it on so i thought id buy this yesterday..
its a '96 wrx sti with 320bhp (ish) i think and its fooking rapid, doesnt even seem the same car compared to my old wrx.

its got nice wheels, full decat ear destroying exhaust system, a HUGE induction kit, dump valve, uprated apexi ecu with a fc commander (no idea what it does at all) and ported headers which i think is about it performance wise.

its got yokohama semi slicks on which dont seem to want to work in the wet lol

as an added bonus it has uprated speakers and 2 dvd screens (awesome btw) and a turbo timer which is weird.

its a grey import too. which means f**k ALL to me.

the evos i wanted are way too expensive for the ones i'd want and this was lovely and cheap :approve:

o and i will try and get a video up later of the noise it makes, it is unbelievable and ive never heard a scoob with such a roar.

Fc commander is an awesome piece of kit costing (£800) you can adjust the boost/ fueling on the go, but for gods sake dont touch it till ya know what ya doing

Does it have 4pot calipers or the suicidal standard sh1t brakes??

The cone filter is just ridiculous, need to find a standard box and get a green cotton filter

This is a P plate. I'd imagine that would make a fair amount of difference.

Doesnt usually make that much difference on other cars but ill give this one a whirl and report back

EDIT: this comes back as a WRX on the insurance by the way?? also its 2500 for me to insure same as the 04 plate

Some insurers have wrx for all imports! It has full sti spec, sti engine, sti codes on plates, paperwork says sti, purchase invoice says sti and the hpi told me too. Maybe more solid ways to tell but I have no idea..

They are very boy racerish but you can't see them and they are quite good tbh, I would get £50 for them which just isn't worth it..

Well it has a STi i/c, strut brace, rear lights..

Its got to be a STi 3 though if it is as the 4 had the red top and the newer dash. But during its time its had the seats changed, a facelift. STi 5 spoiler. Like i say its a bit of a mish mash. Probably for the better.

Lots of STi's show just as WRX's.

I'm not an Impreza nerd but i would say it is an STI, its just because its a Version 3 it looks a bit anaemic compared to latter versions. The front especially looks a bit weedy where it didn't get the chin spoiler. The only thing that looks a bit suspect to me is the sideskirts; are they even painted?
