They always start standard and then the ideas start to flow. The 182's are a good base aslong as you're not modifying the engine. (poor gains).
It is indeed the arch gap wagon mate, no. 467/500. A lad off here (tommy g) his missus had one for a while.
To be fair they're not for everyone and unless she likes her cars and her men stiff! It's not great to use for commuting everyday ect... Although it doesn't bother me.
Check out the Cliosport Saturday section. 30th of July in Gaydon. Bring a Ford along! Keep mine company.
I won't be able to make that mate, we are up at Cadwell Park all of that weekend for round 5 of Time Attack.
Practice and testing on the Saturday and then the event on the Sunday.
Gally, I actually broke the Escos 6 months ago and a few bits were paid for over a period of time, the shell itself only finished being paid for on the 1st of July.
The car was a bit of a silly spec, I'd moved my own goal posts to many times and gone to far with it so I had to step back and release some capital from a garage ornament that would be used once a month on track.
In the past 6 months I've thought hard and regretted breaking it but couldnt warrant that level o money tied up in a car again, so I've now gone for a slightly more moderate spec and more usable car.
Naith, you probably did see it, we were in LeMans this year again and I did take the focus.
Sunday evening I think we had a little scout about on the track, peeked up the mulsane straight then went back to Arnage for a few bevvies then on to the camp site.
It was a bit wet on that evening to be start playing about tho!
yeh i parked next to you in the stickered up black meg, my bro got a shot of you actually, that dickhead in the rs250 handbraking it wasnt too clever, cars beautiful btw...
no whale tail on either of the escorts.
the new one is a delete aero model, and now sat on satin black RL7's, new brakes for the escort are on order.
well, the black 182 hasnt gone to silly, shes got her suspensio on, 4 pots and bucket seat firmly bolted in place and then ive bought a 172 cup aswell.
thats now fully stripped and about to go off for cage work later this week.
carbon doors, tailgate and bonnet are on order and currently looking thru the thottle body options
old one was 563bhp, new one is vaguely around 500bhp going by previous print outs and spec list.
it will be off to my tuner in time for a once over and a health check before it starts being used in anger, and ill find out what its doing then.
its running a T4 Turbo, 8 injectors, pectel management, fully straight cut box etc etc, should be fun when its been given a once over and a few treats given to her
is Tour De Force a compamny mate?
if so, where abouts?
i can get a blinding deal on ATPower bodies, but still keeping options open at this stage, still gaining info and doing my research
If I went down to the little details within the specs then the old one would stand out clearly.
I had over 50k invested in the old car to build it up, and I broke it and gained 38k back, the engine alone cost more to build than what I've paid for the new complete car.
How do Cossies handle and go as standard, I think standard for standard there isn't alot in performance, but gains are real easy? What about handaling - I assume from a 20 year old car, compared to today's ones, they leave a bit to be desired?
A mate's brother had one, he bought it for £16k with 16k on the clocks in 2005 ish and wrote it off a year later - never forget it, it had the lux pack and was in imperial blue - I loved it. As soon as I can have £13k sat on the drive I'll try to persuade my wife to let me have one.
