iplayer. 4 OD and ITV player vanished after PS3 update?

im annoyed.

i use my ps3 mainly for watching films and TV on demand. i updated it to the recent firmware and the iplayer, 4 OD and ITV player programs have vanished altogether.

does anybody know how you can get the back?

there is supposed to be a "TV" icon on the X bar but there isnt?

I haven't checked ITV or 4od but iPlayer is still there, in TV Channels now iirc

its in an icon called "TV and Video" Sources or something like that, there was a software update a few days ago which changed the format of them.

Its this icon m8, then on the drop down bar one of the options is ITV Iplayer etc

Just updated mine, and i haven't got the TV icon either.

Oh well, i'm sure it'll have been fixed by the time i next switch it on in 6 months.

Update for you Gouldy, looking through the psn support forums a few other people are having similar problems, it seems that it will eventually re-appear.

right i have the fix!

if your icons are not there you need to go on to the playstation home icon and download the new playstation home update. this restores everything and gives you the TV on demand icons.

I was just looking for about half hour to see where these has disappeared too as im also missing the icon to get to them. Tried opening the store + closing along with going on ps home updating etc and their still gone!

I've got the same problem too. Keep getting signed out of the network aswell, it's laughable

I had the issue when I did the update, I went on the PSN store and it all came back.

I have the same problems, nothing appears, not even the TV icon. By doing what you mentioned in the quote, will it restore everything or just the xmb? As I don't want to lose anything lol.

i fixed mine this afternoon, definately works and re-appears if you download and install playstation home like somebody has already said, must be a glitch

Was going to PM you but your inbox is full.

Did you have to delete and re-install playstation home completely? As it came up as over 3gb and would take me forever to install.

And where do you need to go to install it again. Cheers.

As mentioned, delete Playstation home and re-install. Quick and easy.
