Antiroll bar off, what do I need to fix it?



  Toyota MR2 GT Turbo
So I go in for tracking, and the guy says my antiroll bar has fallen off! :/

What parts do I need to fix it?

This clio is starting to annoy me... got to change the boots, clips and grease on the CV joints asap.

EDIT: It sits like that when jacked up to one side!

Were they hanging off before you took it in?

The handling must have been shocking?!

I don't know I don't look under my car that often ;)

The handling doesn't seem that bad tbh, but I don't race it round corners.

I did think initially that he took the bolts out to make money, I just took the car away and it handled the same do I don't think he did anything...

my 1.2 clio done this but it had cleareley sheared off, yours is slightly less obviouse id say you need a new drop link. best to do both tho.

they're an incredibly common failure, bit of a **** to fit new ones, wouldn't fancy it without the room a ramp gives you for leverage

I don't have access to ramps ATM do I'm paying a garage to do it.

It shouldn't cost a lot matey, they're front arb links consisting of a bolt, rubber bushes and a nut. So you will need two. As Danny said, really common issue but don't let a garage rip you off. The parts retail at around £7-£8 a side iirc. Don't know what your looking at for labour though.

As Jack says, parts are cheap. On Heathers car (Jacks' mrs) it proved cheaper to replace the bottom arms at the same time as the balljoints were buggered too, and the drop link bolts were seized solid in the arms and rounded off, so labour would have been at least as much as new bits
