in a dilemma

Yes.

Normal 182 with 65k: £3000
Turinis: £450
Ktec Coilovers: £400
Recaro's: £650
TOTAL: £4500

vs. Trophy.

To compare it to a 306 Rallye is daft, we both know the Rallye was just a cheapo version of the Gti6, no additional benefits whatsoever, just less to break. As such, they have no additional value whatsoever.

It will be more akin to Mk1 Valver @ 10p, vs Williams @ 3 grand.

Think you've missed my point.

FF 182 - £3-£3.5K
Trophy - £4.5- K

3 years time i reckon they will be the same price difference if not less.

If you want recaros / turinis / sach's racing dampers and will pay an extra £1500 then a trophy is a better option.
If you don't a 182 is.

All I said was a trophy isn't an investment and is going to lose money at a similar rate to a normal 182 which I think it is.

ook at this bad boy then, no doubt worth more than your or most 1*2 and 16 years old

That would be an investment 16 year old Renault williams / 20 year old 205 1.9 GTI Mk1 Golf.

Not on the same level as a 5 year old trophy because the Trophy's havent hit the low point yet.

A trophy will be an investment when you start being able to pick up a tidy one for under £3k, but not yet.

I seriously want another trophy, stop posting pics dave!!!

For the OP, get a trophy, THE best handling car I've driven on the road, good investment as well as prices will soon start rising
Never heard a bigger load of rubbish. I can't see T's every rising in price.

Why to a Toby Carvery when you can go to Gordon Ramsey's? :P

Just remember to factor in £500 for a damper refurb if it hasn't had one. Aside form that there isn't anything else Trophy-specific to bare in mind really.

wow im seriously impressed with the feed back ive had!
so thanks guys!!! :)
how about if i throw in im 19 years old ha ha
my point at the end of all this is that like all you lot i love renault sports im just stuck between 182 or trophy.
what is this screen thing i keep seeing in 182's? is it a satnav??

Have you had any insurance quotes? (trophy is one group higher on the old insurance scale iirc)
SOME 1*2s have sat nav as an option, I've heard its not particularly good though.

Nothing wrong with a nice RB 182 and saving the extra cash for a holiday or maybe pay your insurance off.

At 19 paying the extra 2-3k for a trophy is a lot of money at your age. I wouldn't if I was 19.

You would be suprised at quotes i have, My 1.6 is 2k a year, Clio cup will be £2300ish when i take a policy out, Trophy is about the same, v6 is slightly more, ph1 172s come back at around 3k.. , Insurance baffles me.

well thats weird because ive just got a quote for a trophy and the insurance is £1,737 and im 19

Thats exactly why mine isnt going anywhere :approve:

...........not being funny like, but a Trophy with mega miles wont ever be sought after tbh

In a few years time however, a o.e FSH example under 60k will be sought after, and will command a premium, no question.

Can vouch for this. It's not :).

Trophy ftw, I'm going to start saving for another as a daily so the cup can go into weekend retirement

Get a trophy, it sounds stupid, but it went for an R27 over a normal 197 purely for the recaro's and the feel of having something LTD edition. Will probably get flamed for that for it being a waste of money, but I'm glad I spent the extra money.
