VERY RARE S3 LOL !!

I agree with that its over priced.

TBH its way overpriced bet it didn't cost them that to build it. The car standard is probably worth about £3500 or so. Surely the conversion wouldn't have cost £9K? And thats excluding money they've had back from all the 20V turbo bits!

Saw a yellow 8L for sale not long ago that had the 3.2 V6 in it but with twin turbos - 680bhp. That looked a beast and was up for £18k IIRC.

It may be over priced in your eyes but it is a rare car as they arent many running TFSI lumps. Its not a straight forward conversion.

Its no different to some people trying to sell Turbo converted 1*2's for 5k+ really.

So are you saying in your eyes it is worth £13,500 then? Appreciate the effort someone's gone to but if it sells for close to that money i'll eat my left bollock.

I bet its not that awkward a conversion and can't see why you would want to anyway when you could get better that out of the 1.8t lump. There is an MTM'd S3 going for half the price at the moment:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-X-Audi-S3-MTM-8L-Quattro-350BHP-MTM-Conversion-Offers-/280785801431?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item41602350d7#ht_962wt_1070

Could maybe justify the price a bit better if they'd shoe-horned in a 2.7 Bi-Turbo V6 from an RS4 but i dont get it.

I think any sain person after something like that would buy a newer S3 rather than spending the same money on an 11 year old one.

I wouldn't say it's like people selling a turbo'd 1*2 for £5k. Its more like someone selling a 182 with a 197 engine in for £7k.

It may be over priced..a car is worth what someone will pay and the vag scene is silly like that. And i'll say it again, its not a simple conversion. Or what i'd call simple anyway. It doesnt drop straight it. You can get 330 out of a 1.8T if it was forged etc but the TFSI lump drives so differently it untrue.

Decent S3 8L's go for about 6k. I could justify it selling for 8k for that with the conversion. Its hardly the funniest thing on the internet though...

Also IF you were to find a 8P S3 for 13.5k it would be over 100k and a dog.

Anyway, you laugh as if its not rare. It is.

Decent low mileage 8L's are around £6k but that one is a pre-facelift pink one which I bet has a done a few miles and not worth more than £3500 - £4k standard.

You can pick up an 8P S3 for just over 11K now (few with around 80k for £11k) but £13,500 would get you a reasonable mileage tidy one. Lad I know just bought one from the local Audi main dealer for £15k on an 57 plate with 50K on it. Just have a look on autotrader.

I didnt say it wasnt rare, i said it was overpriced. Its probably so rare as its such a pointless conversion in the first place.

I bet the sort of people who want to buy it aren't the sort of people with £13k to spend on a car.
