Oil Breather change?

I just had a random thought about oil breathers.

I've had a V6 espace box fitted for nearly two years now,
aswell as an oil breather like this to replace the breather pipe that's in the shed.

I've had the same one fitted since I swapped the airbox over, every year I clean the air filter but changing the oil breather has never crossed my mind,
anyone how long do these breathers last or how often I should change it?

yes there's a pin hole that vents into the plenum. It's called positive crank case ventilation. Breather gases are pulled out under vacuum

just give it a clean, it's there to stop crap getting sucked into the oil under vacuum really. Only about £5 if you do need to replace it
