Was trying both mate, got it going eventually though cheers,

In the end I just reset it using the 2 buttons and after the 3rd time it started to activate

Its busy doing a restore now

Got my 5 replaced yesterday. It's nice having a working sleep/wake button again. I swear I can type better on this one as well, but that'll probably just be in my head.

I posted - back in Sept/Oct - that I was sure that there was an issue with the keyboard on my original 5. I just seemed to be hitting the wrong keys and typing utter crap. I could never type as fast as on my previous 4. But with this 5, I'm back to typing just as fast. Who knows, but I - personally - think there was maybe an issue there.

I'm getting great battery performance from mine. I last charged it on Saturday evening. It's been running on battery ever since, and is showing 73%. I don't turn it off at night, either.

No. I've taken a few calls and maybe a dozen texts in that time. Obviously with heavy use the battery would be impacted. But I'm realistic and don't expect something for nothing. With moderate use, and used as a phone, the battery life is great. If used as a computer with a 3" battery then obviously it won't last so long.

Couple of weeks tops. I should stress that I use it as a phone only. I very rarely use it as an internet communicator, and I don't play games on it.

Yeah I think my biggest battery killer is I'm allways on the Internet. Phone on charge every night isn't an issue. Bring back Nokia battery life with iPhone technology lol

I'm on my fourth iPhone in a month original 5 screen came loose replacement came but the SIM card tray wouldn't open received another replacement worked for a week then would constantly vibrate and couldn't stop it and got this one from apple shop on Saturday all ok ATM touch wood

Make sure you say you have more than one cable as they will try and blame that first! My new one snaps in nice and tight again now

Yep, mine does this too.. The 'geniuses' will probably offer to 'restore' the phone to get out of replacing the handset.

Mine goes from 100% down around to 3% pretty much everyday with around 7hrs usage and 15hrs standby.

Ahhh see I also told them it had a dodgy sleep button (it didn't) lol which is a known fault and a guarenteed replacement..

My old one hardly had any black left round the edges!

Didn't the 'genius' try to 'test' the phone, the hassle I got last month when having my misses 64gb 5 replaced for various issues was unreal.
