Phase 1 Overfuelling - Tried a number of things but unsuccessful to date.

Car  172 Cup
Hi,

I have done a search but not found anything concrete so thought I'd ask.

I have an early Phase 1 which can only be described as 'running like the choke is out' and is overfuelling.

I have replaced the following:

Both O2 sensors
Crank sensor
Throttle body
All injectors
Air intact pressure sensor

Before I continue to replace random items can anybody shed any light on the possible cause?

Thanks

Miles

I've plugged it in and it comes up with secondary 02 sensor fault, but I've replaced that with 2 different sensors (incase one was faulty) and the problem still exists.

I'm located near Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Carlv - I've just noticed you're in Ciren, I'm just outside Fairford :)

Mine was over fuelling because it was not getting up to the right temp , changed the temp sensor switch and thermostat and coolant and now runs spot on .

Thanks, you sound pretty confident that it will be that. I assume it's just a case of going through each lead and connector one by one

Logic dictates that if you have changed the sensor for new and the fault code persists, you either have a faulty new sensor, or a wiring loom problem. I'd go with the loom...

Pop over and I will plug it into my diagnostics machine. Can check your fault codes for you ?
