??

Nah alot of people on here like low, euro, clean, stance etc

but alot prefer their 1*2's, track cars etc

different strokes i guess :)

It's not all about making a car handle or drive better

If you want a car for its looks, personally I dont think a clio is the place to start, for me clios are about driving rather than looking at, there are far better cars out there for looking at, they are a car that actually looks at its best as a car with purpose anyway IMHO rather than all this silly "I wish I owned a VW" type styling.

If we all thought the same things looked nice - it'd be a boring world to live in.

Its a strange comment that one, cause if we all thought the same things looked nice then by definition we would like absolutely everything around us, and hence the world would be an epic place full entirely of things we like, lol.

Some cars look good when done properly..

But, (no offence) the Ops car is not going to look like the others posted in here by adding a set of coilovers.

Having too much rear camber just looks f**king retarded imo. Why would you possibly want your wheel to go horizontal rather than vertical is beyond me.

  182/RS2/ Turbo/Mk1
Aye, fair enough the camber on a racing car.. but a road going renault clio?

Agreed, totally different environment, road tyres wouldnt exactly last long with that sort of camber, not to mention your car would handle very poorly with so little rear grip on a normal tyre doing that.

I dont understand people who stance cars like this. IMO yes it can look good, but I've not seen a clio look good with it, and doing on a budget always looks awful. The whole point in stance is expensive wheels, heavily detailed with expensive waxes and sealents, polished lips on wheels which are referbed all the time and as said air suspension really to make it a 'static' car, not for driving at all. And lets be honest your going to have your old, not clean or shiny, tattyish Clio wound to the floor on at best some avrage to poor fake BBS style wheels and its going to look crap. It is never going to look good in a million years, better to leave it standard, save some money and get something better later. But any Clio's just dont do it, its a VAG thing tbh, most VAG and german stuff can suit it, french doesn't. The whole thing started in Amarica, where they drive mainly German/ Amarican or Jap cars, not European ones, and thats probably why it suits. They also have vast flat roads with fewer corners and speed bumps, so the driving element isn't so essential. Don't waste your time and money making another shed that people will laugh at. No offence was intended in any of that post, its just a reality check. And I dont care how old you are as my first car at 17 was a diesel 306, which I left ALONE and STANDARD for one year, sold and bought a gti-6, kept for 7 months and sold for my 172. And I'm a student that works weekends and didnt get hand outs from mummy and daddy. Its being sensible and saving, not wasting it on rubbish parts for cars which arent worth bothering with. Rant over.

Oh and the touring car with camber is an irrelivant photo to the arguement as its designed for driving on a dead smooth race track, not a uk public road

Tbh it's my car and no it probs won't look nice to you but I don't want to be like all you lot you don't have any change your cars are all boring and the same that why yer if it looks s**t I don't care because its my car and I'm the only one that's got to drive it and I like it so tbh say what you want I'm going to make my cheap s**t stance car and also mummy and daddy don't pay for it I do I got my self a job so it my money not there's

  Clio ph1
Hehe yer my car was never going to be fast or good in the corners so high price parts don't really matter ??

Stance has turned a bit cringe worthy, a bit like the phrase 'euro'. To me it's wide wheels that fill out the arches, doesn't matter if they arnt bbs or deep dished wheels.

I didnt mean that mummy or daddy paid. I simply meant in order to pull of good stance you need very deep pockets, and a good starting point. I have a friend who has a EK9 civic type r that he's stanced and it owes him over 25k over the 2 years hes owned it. It does look good, but its cost a bomb. Attempting stance on a budget on a cheap car is a waste of time. Do you truely think it will look good as it is but on the floor? If you do, you have very odd taste.

  RB 182 195bhp
Thats fair enough, but when you post asking for opinions, you have to expect people to give them. Mine is that it will look horrific and you shouldn't waste your time or money.
