That's a shame, as it's limiting your market to those in the UK... i know there'd be a fair few people in Australia who would be interested in it if a 'plug in' loom was developed (i.e. you plug it in between the 172/182 loom and the new 197 wheel/airbag loom) and it was certified/proven to work...
question: for the people that are overseas, will you be offering an adaptor for the airbag loom, assuming everything goes to plan?
Also, are you able to let us know what kind of certification/testing is being performed on the airbag?
ok, so quick question.... why doesn't everyone chip in a few dollars, purchase a 2nd hand airbag/wheel, put it in a 172/182, and trip the sensor and see if the airbag goes off? would be the cheapest way i would think?
Or is there some flaw to my plan that i am missing?
yeah sounds like they just didn't centre the wheel.
all they do there (well, one way i've seen it done anyway) is they put like a 'clamp' over the steering wheel that holds it straight, and then they adjust the wheels to the proper alignment
Hi all,
Went for a drive in the hills just before in my 172, and on the way back, i noticed that when i was doing anywhere between about 30 - 70kph, there's an intermittent 'squealing' noise coming from the front lefthand wheel (i think)...
This goes away when i touch the brake pedal, even...
Sorry if this is a really daft question, but the little colour coded square 'covers' on the front bar where the headlight washers usually go... were they there from the factory, or are they a part you can buy to 'delete' the headlight washers?
All the Clio's i see here in Australia still have...
thanks for the quick reply!
Being all the way down here in Australia, it's very hard for us to see/look at products before buying them and shipping them over, hence it never hurts to ask a few questions!
Interesting!
Nice stealth fit, and very subtle sound as well.
@ VecBTB: Where does it bolt to? Directly to the headers, or to the Catalytic Converter?
is it 2.5" all the way through?
Any plans to do a back-to-back test with a stock system and one of these systems to do a before/after...
After doing a bit more reading on this site, it seems the resetting computer can be caused by low battery voltage/a dying battery... May be worth looking into that as well, OP
I get the same noise, and the same 'dropping' of the dials.
Also, i have noticed that my trip meter etc will reset when this happens.
I figure it must be some kind of short or something in the wiring/components in the dash.
If anyone knows of a fix, i'm all ears :)
