last thursday driving 20 mph or so in busy traffic and all the sudden BANG, WHACK, CLATTER. pulled over turned the baked bean off. popped the bonnet and turned it over again and it sounded like valve has met piston or summit, just really didnt sound nice. anyway got it back to my...
mines only started doing it after my diagnostic light has re-appeared. This is due to my de-cat and is the lambda censor showing up again. Cant be bothered turning it off again lol
bought the cam belt, aux belt, tensioners and waterpump for around £140 ish 6 month ago. renault specialist garage carried out the work for £200. no problems.

ohh lol i was supposed to get that other bit in box but didnt come lol. i never took it out the box so didnt know there was the horse shoe bracket. if i have some time wen i get back home ill try nock one up in workshop and sell as a set.

davo & mick: they actually supply the local renault garage and my dads friend whom works at that garage put us in touch with europarts. to be totally hounest im not sure if i got a bit of discount on it, but can get for around the same price again! ohh btw this change was carried out 3k miles...
i have the same problem making a small clunk when pulling away also when on full lock. MOT is due next month any ideas so i can prepare? BTW i know its not the CV's cos they been done already.

I got mine in a kit. Cam belt in one box, Aux belt and tensioners in another and Water pump in another. Cost £125.00inc VAT from europarts in Stockton. That was by far the cheapest i found anywhere and in the same box as what Renault sold, so was genuine. I think the Aux belt is supposed to be...
