Saw a baked bean 182 parked on Unicorn Lane in Coventry yesterday, may of seen it a few times driving near by too?
Are you on here? Also looked nice and clean, very smart!!!
Just a quick question, I believe the recommend gearbox oil is 75/80? Is this correct and also can you use 75/90 instead or will this cause issues? I have a 182cup.
Thanks for any help :-)
Ahh great, thanks guys :-) I'll give him a call tomorrow and see what he says, if it's cheaper to just replace the 5th cog and that's all that's knackered then I'll do it that way. All the other gears are fine, you can just hear metal knocking around when accelerating.
So I was driving down the motorway yesterday and my 5th gear decided to give in, got no drive what so ever in it, and you can hear the metal pieces banging around when driving along. I'm not currently going to use the car untill I get it fixed but would like some advice,
Is it cheaper and...
Ahhhh sorry if i seemed rude not flashing back, having only 2 hours sleep, then work, gym and I was driving home, I was fooked haha. Your car looked very smart, clean and shiny :D
You drove the opposite way about 5.35pm today and gave me a cheeky flash ;-), I was in my own little world so didn't think to flash back haha. Anyone one here?
Not sure if it's anyone on here, but was sitting in the beer garden out the front of the Durham ox this evening enjoying a nice cold pint and saw a LY 182 go past about 5.30/45pm...anyone on here?
Mines BN05 VHD, got it from a mae of mine from down south, a few of them have owned it now down there haha, she gets around ;)....tbh though it was my own expensive mistake by not checking the oil regularly...which I have no learnt from.
Hey mate, Im in the same boat as you, my engine is tapping away and sounds like its about to go bang, took it too Fred at the weekend and confirmed the engine has had it, so I'll be replacing the engine. I see it as I like my car too much to sell it for peanuts and spending the money on it isn't...
A nice clean standard example of a gordini RB 182 last night parked next to my RB cup last night in the belgrade theatre carpark in coventry. Noticed a CS sticker on the rear window.
Anyone on here? Looked to be a woman driver with the singlasses on the dash?
Ok cheers guys for your advice :), worst case scenario could it be anything else?
Once I find what it is I'll post it up for future reference for others :)
Would like some advice on what you guys think this could be....
Basically when I'm driving theres a loud whurring noise, like a knackered wheel bearing, gets very loud at speeds over 40/50mph with the noise still being there when rolling in neutral, and tbh sounds like its coming from the rear...
