I don't have a reset button. It's a ph2 172 (2004)

I know there's a few of these threads about the place, but mine's _slightly_ different. I turn the key, the red light stays illuminated, but the starter does not engage. I just get a "click" sound from a relay but nothing more. I got a similar problem about a year ago, but from some luck more...

Even my old Mk1 1.4rt made this noise after fitting a decat! Just boot it past 3k :D

In reply to OP and tools required... you can remove an oil filter by hammering a sharp screwdriver through it and use it as a lever. Works a treat
