What tyre pressures for 182 on track?

On the Bedford day tomorrow. Last time I was there in my Boxster I didnt adjust the tyre pressures-tyres looked like they were beginning to melt after a few oversteery laps so I want to adjust the Clio pressures before I leave-anyone know what they should be?

    182-R26 plus bits

Price was for a brand new R26 with metallic and xenons, im the 1st owner. Renault do a discount called "friends and family" which is (unsurprisingly) supposed to be available for friends and family of the dealer. I drove a car at Masters Beckenham-they wouldnt discount at all!!! What do you...

    182-R26 plus bits

I hop I dont upset anyone by posting here. I have just agreed a fantastic P/X on my 182 Clio (2004/54 reg) with both cup packs and 22k. Im getting £8400 for it against a new Megane R26 (which I managed to negotiate a lumpy 23% off list price) so Im well pleased. Should anyone else be looking to...

    Another 197 mini review....

Needs more grunt. 190 odd bhp is good from a 2 litre but not the best specific output i've seen. Lots of the weight gain is unavoidable due to new pedestrian crash regs but its a great shame the folk at Renaultsport didnt realise that the market would demand more power and ensure the Clio...

    Considering Selling my 182

Although both an S1 and S2 Elise are quicker off the mark than any Clio variant, at speeds over 60mph a 172/182 is easily its match. The later 111R is a different story. The Elise is more fun to drive, but not on motorways where its ride quality limitations and bone hard seats come into play...

Dave182's 197 vs. 225 back to back test! (and a little 182 might pop in!)

If you have been able to source a ST3 for £15k new (with a realistic delivery date) then I would suggest you have found the automotive equivalent of unicorn poo! At that money I agree its perhaps the car to have (although fuel consumption is fierce)

Dave182's 197 vs. 225 back to back test! (and a little 182 might pop in!)

As an aside the 225 Megane depreciates (from new) like a Piano leaving an upstairs window.

Dave182's 197 vs. 225 back to back test! (and a little 182 might pop in!)

Until recently I had a 987 Boxster S with a 182 Clio (with cup packs) as a second car. Had the Clio since October 2004 and its an impressive little car. I drove the 197 and in contrast to what has been posted above I found it quite impressive. The new gearbox provides a change VASTLY superior to...

    N/A or Turbo

VXT is quicker than an S2000 and cheaper to buy new. Vauxhall will sort you a 48hr test drive for £179. refunable if you buy one. List is £25k but reckon on £3k+ as a discount from new. AMD can chip it to 280bhp and its more of a drivers car than a chav looking Mitsubaru. I dont have a VX...

Shall I flog my vx for a Clio

While im on the subject of car magazine reviews have you ever wondered why they dont print the prices (In EVO, CAr, Autocar) etc that people are actually paying for cars in the real world? The Clio 182 Cup is considered a relative bargain in the press. Fact is you can buy a 182 with all the toys...

Shall I flog my vx for a Clio

Dont mindlessly swallow everything the car magazines print. Lots of them are taking backhanders from the manufacturers. If you are talking track times (and Im not sure your figures are accurate) 2 secs is a LOT! Regardless a RWD mid engined sports car, like the VX or ELise IS more fun to drive...

Shall I flog my vx for a Clio

You are confused if you think a 182 would be quicker than a standard VX220 around "any track". Whilst the Clio is more practical and more comfortable to drive, the VX is FAR more focused as a drivers car. It demands more of you which when you are not in the mood can be tiring. To call the 182 a...
