hey all, i own a 1.2 8v 2000reg mk2 ph 1 clio. its in need of a new gearbox and clutch. been offered a few but i want a gearbox from a place i can trust. anyone know any? also as its a 8v will the gearbox differ from the 16v? as much info on gearbox's or part numbers will be great. thanks. sam

hey all, my little 1.2 clio has decided to break, well the gearbox has. i was planning to sell it and buy a new car however this has happened. is it worth spending the £££ to get the gearbox fixed? or do i just spend more £££ which i had saved and drop a 182 or 172 engine, gearbox etc in...

managed to limp it to the garage today and was told that without taking the head off to see exactly whats wrong they wont know for sure but all the symptoms lead to them assuming it has dropped a valve quoting £600-£800. ouch aye. this about right? should i or can i have a go myself? i am...

yeah everything looks fine including the cam belt cause that was my first idea, hence y i now think its internal.

yeah more like 3 cylinders, its come off the mount before and its no where near the same, ive tried not to fire it up as im concerned its goign to cause more damage if not already done so, what else is there i can do to help u guys? make a video and post it u if i have time?
