gearboxes

hey all,

i own a 1.2 8v 2000reg mk2 ph 1 clio.

its in need of a new gearbox and clutch.

been offered a few but i want a gearbox from a place i can trust. anyone know any?

also as its a 8v will the gearbox differ from the 16v?

as much info on gearbox's or part numbers will be great. thanks.

also as im changing the complete box, can i put a different one in to gain any advantage?

like a 1.4 ect??

oh right....

well ive been offered a 1.2 16v but no point if its not going to work.

anyone know the answer?
