So I have a MK2 2003 Clio. For the last 6-9 months or so she has had a intermittent starting problem. Not every time and it could last for months without a problem. When she started doing it we would normally play around with the battery terminal or even the plug that goes to the started and she...
I've had several CV boots changed on my 1.2 16v 2003 and on my old 1.4 1999. You don't need a new driveshaft until the driveshaft makes a noise or the abs ring is broke. Is there a reason why you ask about the abs teeth?

Hi all. Not sure if this is the right area to post this help but I have a mk2 2003 1.2 16v Renault Clio who 95% of the time starts with out fails, runs really well with no problems then 5% of the time she will start with no problem then within 10 seconds just completely dies, no hesitation no...
Hi all, just a quick question. My car went into my local garage about 2 months ago for a cambelt and water pump change as well as oil spark plugs etc . Since then I have had this tapping/rumbling noise from that side of the engine and it sounds on the top end not underneath. I have also found...
Mine is not that engine, it's the 8valve E7J. I have had a full service including timming belt and water pump if that's what you mean? I would have thought if it wasn't rimmed correctly then it would be running fast and poss juddering?
Yes, all mounts have been replaced. The battery isnt really on a tray, it sits over the top of the mount and bolts down but either way they have all be changed, all bolts are tight and nothing is cracked, broken or loose. The engine is pretty solid.
The car passed its MOT a month back so nothing to do with suspension and I've had both ball joints, both springs, shocks and top mounts replaced.
Air box is tightly secured and have been trued without it. The noise is definitely coming from somewhere in the engine bay, sounds like a vibration...

I knew someone was going to tell me that because no one reads posts properly. I know you shouldn't and I don't, it's the way to get people to hear it on the get go rather than drive it for miles to hear it. And no not that order either, I do know how to drive and in my first post I have already...
Hi, the noise has been there ever since I brought the car nearly 4 years ago but it was very very quite. I've had all sorts of mechanics look at my car and they have all also drove it. I've had exhaust specialist, gearbox specialist, normal mechanics, you name it they have looked.
As far as I'm...
Hi all, I am thinking of changing my cat. I think the flexi bit has become hard and It is causing a vibration through the cab.
I just have a few questions
1) I was wondering if there is a gasket between the manifold and cat?
2) Do I need something called a fitting kit? If so, what does that...
Hi all, I've had just about enough of my Clio. I have this horrible vibration noise coming from either the front of the engine bay or the rear or below. It only does it when you labour the engine so when your driving around 30 in 5th or 20 around 4th etc. It does it in all gears. I've had...
Hi all, right I have been having problems with my 2003 clio, the driver's door window just won't work, the switch operates both drivers and passengers window. Passengers works perfectly. Originally it started juddering and then just stopped one day. Ok so I thought it may be the switch or the...
