The RX100 is expensive because the sensor is big, the lens is top notch and it's very well built. I follow a few guys on Flickr who use them, really lovely look from the photos.

If money is no object the Sony RX100 is top of the pile as far as compacts go, the original is £350 on Amazon, the newest version is double that. The Panasonic LX7 would probably be next, about £280 on Amazon.

Depends which lens you bolt onto the X-E1, but it's very similar to the X100 operationally and a fair bit quicker. The 23mm 1.4 or 35mm 1.4 on the X-E1 is in my opinion a better set-up than an X100 in terms of image quality, but you lose out on silent shooting, built-in ND filter and size.

Our Infinity was hanging around 0.5mb DL for ages recently (if it worked at all), I think possibly since adding a Synology NAS. Got fed up with the useless BT Customer Service and just bought an AirPort Extreme after doing a bit of research...the difference is unreal, gutted I didn't get one...
