Interesting that some owners are claiming 40+mpg. The book says 34 (I think) and from experience you never get close to this unless you are cruising at a steady speed all day with no traffic. My Rover's book claims 37 mpg, which is possible but in reality is more like 32-36 when you factor in...

Bit expensive for me. My budget is pretty much the value of my Rover (not much!) plus whatever I can borrow on a credit card. 1500 quid max basically. Sensible option is to get a DCi as I would save about a grand a year in fuel over the Rover but it depresses me to think I will be then cruising...

I have had my 3rd cluch cable snap on me in less than five months. I replaced the first with one from Halfords, and when thet went, used one from the Renault dealer. That has now snapped so something must be wrong, is it more likely a problem with the cluch itself (e.g too heavy) or do you need...

Stick to Renault parts, had a non genuine cluch cable snap in a few weeks! What a job they are to fix.....:(
