Looks very similar to meg2 wishbone/balljoint, is it listed as espace balljoint? I pop them out and back in using the press with arm off. One of them ball joint presses that you gun up would do the trick in situ nicely.

Similar, these are threaded on the part that goes through the hub. Some places list the wrong ones....... I have 2 that I think are space ones here now. With a notch in the side?

I've seen the ones that look like a big G clamp, I'd be tempted if I was doing them regularly.

I guess the povo spec mk4 has slightly different hubs to rs?

Meg2 is also threaded where it goes into the hub, nylock on top and povo hubs have the pinch bolt.

More upgrades incoming thanks to @Danith . He is selling up and going back to a boring German car so removed some bits from his car (y)

Nealy new Brembos and pms brackets, some budget pads but also some Mintex m1166 pads. Also included are some braided brake lines. A red RS start/stop button and some 17inch Tibors with MRF track tires.

Excited to get the brembos fitted (y)

Urgh insurance renewal time. Has everyone else's jumped up again? Did the usual ring around as I thought my renewal quote was high, had one company telling me that I did too many mile (13k) on a modified daily car and that if I wanted it less than £700 id need to drop the millage near to 7K.... nearly all quotes coming in between 7 and 8. Rang back Brentacre, asked them to add a further 3 points on, expecting it to jump again to the 7-800 range and they still kept the renewal price at just over 500. So that's where we are at, another year of cover in the Clio (y)

I take it that’s not with AF and with a specialist broker?

Insurance is so random it's just ridiculous. I pay around £300 for an 18 plate golf gti with 2 years no claims (my max no claims is on my van).

Mine went down £25 annually on my 182 (Esure). Second year in a row now.

I got my renewal for the clio last week and it's gone from £470 to £655. I need to ring up though because I've moved house, become single, don't use the car and have no dependants and all that makes a difference apparently. It'll still be far too much compared to the poogoat which cost me £700 with no no claims 'discount' where as the clio enjoys 8 years without body modifications. Robbing t***s.

Might as well chime in

I've gone from £930 with 1st Central online to £837 to 1st Central Premium with RAC, courtesy car and European breakdown coverage. f**k knows how because the next cheapest quote I had was £1600 and didn't include half the s**t I have on this policy🤣

My insurance has not really budged price wise on the modified stuff. All between £300-450 fully comp with greenlight.

The diesels are a pain in the arse to insure. Ive been with elephant for years as every time i shop round the quotes get ridiculous for what they are.

It was Greenlight who gave me the spin of too many miles on a modified vehicle, its my daily so not sure what I can do about that... 🤷‍♂️ Im not sure if im being just tight, we have 3 cars insured for about 1k, maybe im moaning for nowt? The Clio at £545, the Fabia tsi vrs for around £250 and the R8 comes in at a shave over £100.

I'm not a big fan of Greenlight. I've used them a few times but when you ring them, it always seems like I should be honoured they're speaking to me.

Keith Michaels have kept my insurance the same on the 2 renewals at £500. That's all mods declared and me making a claim back in 2020 for over £20k. Quite a few people have gone with them

They couldn't match what I was already quoted though i did try them.

"I have looked at the information supplied and whilst we would like to provide you insurance for your vehicle, the premium you have quoted is particularly competitive and on this occasion we are unfortunately unable to match it at this time"

2 x sp30s no claims no convictions. 3 cars in the house and 10+ ncb on the main car.

I thought insurance prices had dropped recently. I was paying around £600+ for a E91 325d, and around £300 for my Z4 last year.

Renewal for the Z4 this year was just over £200 in July, and my 130i was £220 last week. Both with Aviva, with max NCB.

My wife's diesel CMax was around £350, which makes no sense to me. She's got pretty much max NCB too from memory.
