Heading towards 170k now, got a clunk from the front so need to investigate that but overall it's just trooping along. Haven't returned it to standard, but still thinking about it at least suspension side, or maybe raise the bilstein up more, just as I'm getting old and bouncing about is a pain... Although plus side it makes the missus boobies jiggle about lovely now it's summer vest top season.

Also bought a newer style alpine stereo from @Gus so I can use the phone more easily and drag it a bit closer to 2024

I'll do a better update with pics sometime soon, cars on daily duties all next week whilst Alfa is at the detailers for winter prep so I'll have more then

171k, just been using it tbh, thought I had fixed the clunk with a dodgy ball joint, hadn't, then realised pinch bolt wasn't shouldered so swapped to correct bolt and thought fixed it again.... Still there occasionally but feels maybe more top mount or spring related so may take the suspension apart at some point and see what's going on.

Still fully tempted to go back to stock stuff too and make it a more comfy B road blaster so that may happen over the winter. We'll see

I'm still just sort of enjoying just using it and not worrying too much.

Alpine stereo is in as well which is decent for the longer journeys as can Spotify it up for the podcasts, dreamy

I haven't fully as yet, need to get it back up in the air and suspect remove u shocks etc to investigate further, but winter innit now
Yeah was gunna say I had a mystery clunk was certain it was balljoint; Did top engine mount yesterday haven’t heard a word from Mr Clunk since. Maybe something to look at if nothing else works

I did do the top engine, top gearbox and dogbone when I bought the car but was a while ago now so could be a good shout that

Did trackday in the Quad Monday, left the track brakes etc in it so CBA with the squealing and wasn't cooking after, so went down local town to a nice pizza place get some carry out and.... Clutch cable snapped right outside 🤣

Stuck a sign in window and left it, mate Dunc saved me in his new maxim MK1 and pizza tea was still had.

Back down today to change the cable.... ghetto roadside style!

All fixed in about 45 minutes, nicely

does any1 knows the cause to this?
on my previous cable snapped 2 times. 1st one was oem, second ATE replacement, also when 2nd went it, new clutch was also installed. ( not because old one was bad.)
Sometimes it's routing of the cable but usually it's just one of those things, rhd cars suffer as the cable has to snake round the bay to get from drivers side to gearbox
