Clio RS 2013 Focal 130AS speakers upgrade problem

  Clio RS 200
I bought the Focal 130AS speakers to upgrade the front door speakers.
130mm same as factory with the problem that they need more depth space when fitting. I did look for spacers but didn't find any.
So I believe I have two options left:
1) cut that tube/pipe a bit so that should allow me to fit the speakers
2) send them back and get a set that requires less mounting depth

Maybe someone manage to fit them and can direct me what to do.

I'd just trim anything that's in the way. That tube thing loos like it'll come off without any cutting? Slap a bit of sound deadening on the inside of the door while you're in there too if you can.

I did try to remove that tube but it sits solid. I think if I try harder it will just crack in my hand. Sound deadening to put inside the black trim or remove the white foam thing and apply to the doors?

Apply staringht to the doors wherever you can reach. I swapped the speakers on a twingo not long ago and a 4" square of sound deadening on the door skin made a huge difference.

Will try to do that as the speakers came with a small piece of sound deadening

I would cut the bass reflex tube with a stanley or dremel. Wont make much difference to the sound.
You can get adapters on ebay LINK for the speaker wires which make the install a bit nicer, but not essential.

Small cutting and speaker sits nicely in.
Just need to think about new head unit as the factory has no power at all and there is not much difference in the sound

The one and a half screws holding the speaker in won't be doing the sound quality much good tbh.
One and half screw? Don't really understand what you mean? The factory speaker was attached with 2 screws so this one is attached with 2 as well.

This is the one i was calling half a screw. Id still be trying to put 2 more screws in if i were you, regardless of the fact the oem speaker was only held in with 2. The more securely mounted the better.

Ok, now I know what you mean. It's not finished yet as I still have to do it other side. Now just looking at Vibe Powerbox65.4 to add as the factory radio has no power at all to run them and the amp is small enough to be hidden behind the medianav and It will let me to keep the factory look

Get the speakers mounted solid and add the mini Focal amp. I had one in my 182 glove box and coupled to my Alpine HU, it drives them really well.
Some pics of my install when I did it. It’s a 450W 4 ch amp that fits in the palm of your hand!

The amp I will get it will be pioneer gm-d1004 or vibe powerbox65.4. I think ton the Vibe you can control the Gain as well while the Pioneer is set to max as no control
