In that case that anti fog stuff might just work, because that doesn't work when it's actually damp/wet. Think it's some kind of stuff that makes tiny droplets 'spread', maybe by breaking surface tension, not sure, but it creates a more clear view until it's evaporated.

Long time since I've ventured in here.

Wheel brushes specifically for between the spokes, What are we using nowadays as I still have my Wheel Woolies but presume something else must be all the rage many years later?

Also a general tyre/wheel face brush?
The best wheel brush I’ve ever used is a Meguiars one.

Also try maybe some moisture traps bags that you would take in holiday?

It's annoying.

Today, I drove out to play Padel. 15m drive.
Cold outside, got back in the car after 90mins and it was so foggy getting in the car. Im driving off like Ace Ventura.

Doesnt appear to be wet drips, just fog.
I might change the cabin filter and see if that helps.

What car... My 987 Cayman seems to leak at the back of the doors and dribble down onto the door cards. Very annoying !

I've got these dehumidifier bags / moisture trap and use them in my Z3 and they have been perfect. I've not had a misty window so far this winter and I am using the car most days and getting in it about 6am, so way before it would naturally clear up. I tend to use one for a few days then swap out for the other one that has been sat inside on a radiator drying.

987.2 but no drips....
Is the bottom of the door card dry ? Unsure what the difference is from .1 to .2

It's either that or the watershield on mine.. or both 🙄

Just given it a bath, foam, rinse, foam and wash with some ceramic hybrid shampoo which never foams up. Rinsed then put more of the same thru the foam lance, fresh mitt and went over it all again as it was HANGING after 1k of rain snow and god knows what the last 5 weeks, then rinsed again. Beads up lovely so obviously had to dry it with some of that BSD banana stuff sloshed all over.

GTechniq C5 wheel armour - I am very impressed!
I hate cleaning wheels, especially the Style 32’s I have. But I have these wheels a good decontamination, clean and then a C5 coating before they went on the car the a few weeks back. I am washing them now and chucked some generic wheel cleaner on, left for 5mins and jet washed all the dirt off! It’s nearly 1000miles and most on the motorway and down dirty country roads so we’re quite grim. Effortless.

I’ve used the Geyon wheel stuff on the Clio as it was rated to a higher temperature which I thought was good for track wheels. And that works well and brake dust and such doesn’t stick to it but I would say the C5 is better.

You try more a wheel shampoo or shampoo to stretch the longevity of the coating. Wheel cleaners are designed strong. Gtechniq will recommend what to use?

My windscreen is pretty scratched and it's effecting my night vision.

It's £135 to replace it.

Is there anything I can use that's more cost effective and actually work?

I'm after swapping the backing plate on my 3" Rotary. Which firmness would be the one to get, easiest to use?. I'm going to 'assume' softer.

I've got some fake leather seats that I need the clean and condition , Tesla seats and also some recaro trendlines.

What products are good to use? Dont really want a glossy finish, nice and natural would be good.

Pears soap, the orange one from a supermarket/superdrug. I'm happy with that, just a small amount and then wipe with a microfiber.

Or Dan uses a magic sponge.

Also used Dr Leather but pears soap is alot cheaper.

At that price, just replace it if it's that bad

couldnt see if there was a dedicated thread on screenwash, so thougfht this thread might be next best off, but what is the going price now on a 5ltr concentrated screenwash, back in the day i was paying £4.99 for a 5ltr and £3.99 for a reasy mixed 5ltr. I popped in halfrauds and thought nah i'm nor paying that and noticed rain-x do some screenwash £13 for 5ltr concentrated with rain repllent which might be alright. On Amazon Holts is about £10 and the Carplan is about £8

The rain x ready mixed stuff is brilliant. If you know someone with a trade card it's £7.19.

Ive stopped coating my windows, this stuff will keep the water repellent coating topped up if used occasionally.

Also it doesn't freeze at -8 what we had last week.
I’ve already ordered a 5ltr of Holts from Amazon £10 , give that a go . Was tempted to get the rain x one but I already coat my windows with the gyeon plus shampoo or vein wet coat or rain x spray on , got a little left over of that and maybe next time get some of the rain x screen wash. I don’t have a Halfords trade card I don’t know anyone who has one, would come in handy like for whatever discount it is on certain stuff. I presume it’s down to the mixture of strength to the freeze point of the washer?

You don't mix the Rain X one, it's ready to use neat.

I generally just use the All Season concentrate from Euro, about £5 for 5L. Use neat in winter, 50/50 when it warms up a bit, then probably 80/20 in summer.

Yeah I was aware the person above was using pre mixed rain x, my wording before was just in general from a concentrated mixture. I’m not great at wording things. But thanks for clarification if I didn’t know. There’s a Euro Car Parts just a few miles from me, totally forget that there’s one there, need to pop in one day and have a look around

Hi mate. Have you got a pump sprayer, be worth grabbing a 5 litre spear and Jackson, mines lasting well just don't leave the sprayer (not this, the pumper thingy instead lol). in the bottle due to the seal.

But yeah diluted with water, warm if possible. Different % mix depending on how dirty the car is. Will try and find the thread from detailing world.

Can't seem to find the thread started by Nbray iirc a few years back, it was detailed well.

Pop a Google search or if you are a member on DW have a quick search.
