Yes, was thinking of using Surfex HD in case these are crap, and skip the snow foam bit.in principle, thats a good idea! Plus, you have control over which product is dispensed as foam. Some of the car wash ones are caustic as hell and will damage gloss trims etc.
However, you're looking at pumping those IK foamers up at least 6 times to get a decent layer of foam around the car. Its really not worth it imho.
unless you went for the rechargable auto pumping one tbf. That would work nicely.
For what its worth, id sack off foam altogether and just use a standard pump sprayer with some good pre-wash such as BH Surfex etc etc. That will do just as good a job as the foamer would
Didn't know there were some battery operated, and just had a look. You can find cheap ones, but reviews are bad , and I won't pay £80-£90 for a good one.
