Dragged the 172 cup out of hibernation and gave it a bath.
Started to investigate an issue with the ePas, seems to be a fault with the ECU for it. But, it’s also been really badly refitted.
I had a full cage fitted by Cooksport and the electrics haven’t been the same since. In fact they vanished as a business shortly after it was installed. As you can see the ECU for the epas is literally zip tied in place, they’ve mangled the dash and support bracket. The wiring is a right mess and it doesn’t look anything like the original install done by

The dial for how much assistance you get through the wheel has power getting to it, but the ECU is just clicking it’s tits off.
There’s currently no power steering and the car has a quick rack fitted. So you need to be built like the hulk to turn the wheel.
Adjusted the dial and to show what’s happening and then well..
The car started idling higher than usual as can be heard in the first video and then started hunting idle. OBD reader out straight away and it’s thrown two codes
Seems like the TPS circuit has now malfunctioned (p0120) and the 02 sensor circuit has malfunctioned (p0136)
All I’ve done since having this car back from them is chase issues. Not a happy chappy.
