Done a few jobs on this ep3 today.
Built engine, haltech ecu etc. Think around 700hp, its done low 10sec qtr.
Rust free underneath 4wd crv box etc.
Sexy Haltech dash.
Sadly its had some work done poorly recently with a large bill to suit and came back with a few issues. I had a look at it last week when at doorslammers and noted coolant hose leaking, hose with firesleeve resting on turbine housing, poor routed turbo return rubbing on gear selector etc, also clutch has issues on the hydraulics. The lad is sound and local so i had an hr sorting a few small bits for him as hes not hands on with it.
The hose that needed replacing was from head to passenger side of turbo core and was a ten min job, cable shears give a mega clean cut on braided hose and an fast flow fittings make a painless job.
Done.
Took it for a run out and by god its fast, hooks up and fooks off. Sadly the clutch pretty much dissappeared, its had a slipper valve fitted and its pissing the fluid from somewhere in that area, and its all buried behind the turbo. They look like a carry on to bleed too and it started raining so was the end of that.
Nice thing though. Rarely impressed by jap stuff but this has a ton of potential. Engine was unreal.
