Guy ion the cossy was at least 75+ and the passenger who I would expect be his wife was looked like she was out the home for the day she looked that old.
Oh and he had no idea what lane to be in, he was all over the place.

Used to see a red one around Harborne pretty often. Think the guy lived in Sutton Coldfield, had a carrera gt iirc.
This one was out towards Wombourne at the end of the rabbit run. Not a million miles away so could have been the same one.

I was talking to a lad at a show the other week about the clio and he had been looking at punto supersports and a week later there one at another gathering. The stickers were a bit ott but the colour was really nice and I do like the look of them. View attachment 1789291
Genuinely didn’t know these existed. Looks quite cool tbf.

My first car was a Punto; albeit an S reg mk1 1.4. It was blue, plastic bumpers and absolutely shite. I loved it until I crashed it and it literally disintegrated.

I had a grande punto abarth with the 1.4 tjet engine like the 500 abarth. Standard 155bhp and esseesse models had 180bhp.
It was a good little car, quite cool and both the grande and the punto evo abarth are rare to find. Although mine was standard, it scraped on speed bumps sometimes. The biggest problems on them were the gearbox! They use the m32 gearbox like the vxr’s and they are made of cheese. Mine had to have the bearings replaced when I bought it.
The punto evo models like the one shown above had the 1.4 multiair engine and had a bit more power.
That one seems to have been resprayed or wrapped as that’s not an official colour.

Colour is questionable, but good spot out in the wild today.

I worked in the event industry for a few years and we did a show at Milbrook Proving Ground called Company Cars In Action, a place where you could drive a Nissan Leaf or a Golf GTD around the Alpine circuit, or maybe a 330d around the high speed bowl. Most companies brought a few hotter cars, BMW brought an M3 and M5, Nissan had a GTR and Nismo 370Z, Volvo brought a Polestar of some sort around, you get the point.

Lexus however, brought one of these along and it was being absolutely spanked by a pro driver around the high speed bowl and Alpine circuit for 4 days straight. Sounded f**king AMAZING. He'd always launch it once he got out of the staging area. When anyone saw it driving up to the gates they'd all stop and stare waiting for the launch.
