A guy at work here used to be the works co-driver for the Golf Tdi team when it ran in the BRC.
He says it was awsome..just have to get used to changing gear earlier than normal.
CAMBELT!!
Probably been changed already but worth a check.
Check everything. Clutch, oil, gearbox oil, fuel filter, dampers springs, cv joints and boots. Battery, alternator, power steeering pipes and pump.
Everything, it will all go in the end, just a question of when!!

Ivan,
Why not pop into JJB Sports and get yourself some white trainers and tracksuit bottoms ..£70??
Then into H Samuels for a gold chain..£25
TKMax for some sh*tty ill-fitting jumper and huge logo on the front £50
You have £5 left for a big Mac meal or a baseball cap.

You need to get it covered quickly, the nailvarish is the same as clear laquer (provided that is clear as well). It just stops any crap from getting underneath the remaining laquer and causing more damage.
Toasted my own car which was bizarre!
Went out in the rally car (Evo 4 Grp A) to set up the brake balance for a tarmac rally and had a friend follow in mine. Just for fun I switched on both fuel pumps and the ALS and my Willy just vanished!! Funny but weird.

Its just a ploy by Renault to stop you breaking it and claiming by Warrenty. Do you think the salesman/mechanics drive them gingerly for the first 650 miles....no chance!!
Rags the nuts of it from day 1, it will be nice and slack then!!

I preferred the black ones to be honest..the ones which had two squished together to form a heart shape! Mental!
Go on, get some pics. Would like to see the speedo sensor thing as well...pleeeaaassssseeee
Check your coil springs. The last half inch shears off and sits in the retaining plate. Rattles the same but only when you go over bumps!
Worth a try and is a common fault.

One common fault on these, if it is the DIET sort is the lead that goes to the coil/solenoid. Take it off and give it a good clean. See if that works. My girlfriend has the same problem of not starting her 1.2 clio, every time she comes home with oil/muck on her hands I know what has happened.
