No it doesn't but to do what i was doing that was pretty much it, thats without hotel costs and the van we had. Also i started doing a few european races. Its why we packed it in, it was just getting crazy. You can't really do karting on a budget, lol.
I wouldn't be doing trackdays twice a...
I would be taking out the standard seats and replacing them with bucket's, wheel would be changed too. I would basically doing simular to what Shadowness has done to start off with - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?493362-Clio-182-The-project-that-almost-never-was!
I do agree you...
Thankyou for a response to my post (not just continuing the 182 vs 197 argument :p)
I've done a few trackdays, and I used to race karts professionally. (Not me, but its what i used to do - http://www.kartcom.com/com_kart_asset/9728/Max-Verstappen-KF3.jpg)
So i just want a trackday car really...
Exactly where I'm coming from on the last point. I'm not really someone who knows a shed load about how to rip a car to pieces. I don't really want to take to my car with a hammer and chizzle and then come to some wires and be like, wtf?
At least with the 182, it doesn't cost as much, its an...
I am also guessing that those statistics are as standard cars, in my case it'll be striped out facelift 172 or 182 with AST's and everything else vs a standard 197 cup.
Not really fussed on 172, i like the looks of the 182.
But wait, *mk2 newbie* isn't there a facelife 172 that looks like the 182?
It will hit the road at some point, so its not really an option for me. I also want the whole experience of making my own car, not buying someone else's.
I have a CUP already dude, its an awesome car. But I don't want to strip it, and turning it into a pure track car would be a waste of money.
If i had a 182 it wouldn't be a daily driver, it'd just sit in the garage and I'd use something else to driver around in. The 182 would be just a...
How much did the full AST setup set you back if you don't mind me asking? Including set-up and the likes. I'm just trying to get figures of what it would cost me for when/if i get rid of my 197.
You can Pm me the price if you don't want everybody to know. :p
Cheers for the comments.
If i did get a 182 it'd be on track pretty much every month once its stripped. I used to race Karts (KF3 for those that care, ;)) and I just want the track bug back.
I've thought on and off about stripping my 197 but I know I'll just regret it when it comes to selling...
I have a Glacier White 197 at the mo, I love it to bits its a great car. However I'm wanting a full all-out trackday car, i can't afford to destroy my 197 and then afford to run another car on top. So my idea is to sell my 197, buy a 182, and then another rubbish car as a runaround. (Damn those...
Video of it running on Youtube, can't wait to see what figures they get.

I'm only 20 and have a 197, its no excuse. ;)
They are bad on fuel because they weigh more. Its the same with my old car. I had a Corsa D (the new shape Corsa) and the old Corsa completely outed it on speed/mpg because all the Corsa C was just four wheels and an engine.
Newer cars have more...
Cheers for the comments everyone.
If your into F1 Sebastian Vettel called his fist chassis Kate and then his next one Kate's dirty sister and I used to have a black corsa called Sam, so this is Sam's dirty sister. Just a twist on what seb did with my 197.
This was my black corsa
I'm Jason, I'm 20 and I've had my Glacier White Clio CUP 197 for a month-or-so now. I've got lots of things planned, but with my last car i did them all at once and got bored of it within a year.
So with my 197 I'm going to take my time and do it stage by stage.
Some of the mods I'll be...
