i had both my wheel bearings replaced at 60k.
from the sounds of things they want to change the rear discs as well, which you dont have to. They can be knocked out and your new bearing pressed in.
standard air filter is the best IMO.
on my GTT my standard filter setup was much better then my induction kit.. i did a test my charged temps dropped by about 15 degrees on my standard filter setup.
i know theres a difference one being turbocharged e.t.c but renault seems to be very good at...

they wont replace any parts without asking you first, your gonna get screwed on your warrenty as clutch isnt covered and it ant your oil seal, so get you money out im afraid :)
if it was a faulty seal your clutch would slip, it wouldnt make it hard to get into gear.
i would say gearbox or selector rod or cable.
renault will say that cause once they have it in pieces you have no choice but to pay the money.
cambelt dont need changing till 72k :) its the Auxiliary belt that does. thats why you paid so much.

my mk 1 172 is an ex demo car, not had any problems with it at all just rolled on to 78k.
As for insurance ive just got mine down to £668 im 21 with 2 yrs NCB :) thats with elephant
