Brake Query.... for a 172 Cup

  Liquid yellow R26 F1

After the last Breafast run my middle pedal went a bit soft, not by much and the biteing point was deffinately lower...? so i gave it to Renault to look at..

So i had new disks (F) and new pads all round.. + a full bleed with new fluid...

That should sort the low pedal i thought... Unfortunately not..

The biteing point of the pedal is in line with the accelerator pedal.. not a major problem, but just not as good as it used to be. as it used to sit much higher which made Heel & Toeing nicer... although this isnt consistant.. as sometimes it will sit a bit higher.... eerrrmmmm.....?? I

had the boot full of tools, etc the other week and pedal felt good again (nice and high).. but once empty it went back to normal.. maybe its to do with the brake bias or something similar...?!?!?

Anyone got any suggestions..? i havent gone back to Renault yet.. thought id find some info first..

What the pedal like on your Cup.. High or Low..

Cheers for any info..:)

try getting some decent brake lines, dot 4 fluid.

and then get it pumped up so that the pedal feel is nice and firm when you are setting it up.

where are you based?

I found decent brake fluid the best change I made to my braking system. Ran Castrol Supreme Super DOT4 in the end, top stuff and made the pedal very responsive.
