The eBay disks will be fine for the rear. They hardly do any braking anyway.
The bearings on the other hand will be made of chocolate and you will be replacing them in less than a year.
As said before countless times genuine renault are the best VFM in the long term.
Fitted the painted engine cover I purchased from Simon (Sprayshack)
As ever superb quality finish.
Purchased on a whim as I saw it come up for sale and now not sure I actually like it. lol
Will leave it and see if it grows on me.
You need some of these.......;)
Has everything you need just plug in and go. You wont have self leveling but you can do it via the wheel in the car as you would normally.

Been a very long time since I did mine but I think you need to update your ECU to the 8200 software (.RST file) before you can write the performance (.cal) file.
Make sure you first make a backup of your existing .RST to your PC before writing the new one so you can always then go back.
Had this recently when working on my mates 182. After fitting Mintex rear discs went for a drive and the dash lit up like a christmas tree after the back end locked up one wheel on a 30 - 0 brake test. Stripped it all down to discover the ABS rings were 48 tooth instead of 44. Fortunately I...
yes but it's still making 200 FtLb at 6500 rpm.
Totally different experience driving it now I would suggest. No need to rev to the limiter.
Change gear at 6k revs and you're right back in the torque peak.
I've lost count of the number of times I've looked at replacing the 182 over the last 6 months.
Much like you I can see nothing that I'd get as much enjoyment out of driving every day without spending a small fortune on before watching it depreciate to nothing.
Ive had 3+ years of trouble free...
Thank you.
If I'm honest I would like to go down the forced induction route but find it hard to justify spending that amount of ££££ on a car that's worth £3k.
Cams or the RS2 both fall well within what I would be happy to spend on the car so looks like I'm going to have to find someone with a...
Question for you then Chip. On my standard 182 that's used exclusively on the road what would you suggest.
Cams or the RS2?
Not looking for headline numbers but an improvement in driveability day to day.
North London brain dead individual lets a similarly brain dead friend of his drive his Clio in a dangerous manner around narrow residential streets of North London. CS detectives discover many personal details about said Clio owning individual and report to police. Several minutes pass and it's...
How soon? Have a few ££ put aside to spend on the bean and would be very interested to know when this might happen.
Having experienced a ride in Toms RS2'd Clio when the manifold was first shown to the world of CS I was very impressed with the linear torque and throttle response. Not quite as...
No way to know for certain unless the car pops back up on one of the forums.
It's last entry was in 2009 when it was sold. The new/subsequent owners have not updated the register with any info since then.
point 1. Mine are the same. Tilt forward as smooth as silk but are stiff and clunky when returned to upright. As both mine do it I decided this must just be how they are.
point 2. Not necessarily. Check on trophy.net they have a register of all the trophy's with details of where they are etc...
I've got it and its rubbish. Can never get a decent GPS lock and always shows poor calibration so never gives 0-?? times etc.
Every other GPS app on my iPhone works perfectly.
I've been looking with some interest at the Engine Dynamics 230BHP conversion. My Clio is only ever going to be used on the road, as it's my daily, with the odd back road blast when taking the long way home.
I'm very interested to read the comments made by those with some real knowledge of...
Strange when I first attempted taking mine off last summer the bolts were solid. So stiff I gave up fearing I'd shear them.
Decided to attack them again last week armed with a long breaker bar and to my surprise then span straight out with nothing more than an 8" ratchet.
1. Stripped out the entire rear in search of the elusive water ingress that collects under the rear seats and causes the interior to mist up.:banghead:
2. Gave it a good wash to reveal its sparkly inferno goodness.
Sounds like the adjuster. It's just a quarter turn in and out. There is a small tab that should resist it twisting out that easily. If it feels loose just push it in and twist a quarter turn clockwise.
Before you twist it back in just give it a quick wiggle back and forward to make sure it's...
Bit of thread resurrection but I've noticed my average MPG has started to fall over the last couple of months. No change in journey and the car seems to be running fine.
Am going to replace the pre-cat lambda as a precaution. Where do the good people of CS recommend getting one from? Any...
