to be honest, velcro :) that will secure it unless you rally every single corner you take, mine isnt secured just now, but im gonna be donin my install soon, so thatll be sorted out then...
ian, i currently only have 8 gauge, as it was from a previous amp which only ran the sub, but aint enough for this, going out to get the wire in the next day or two... but i have been told that itll make a difference by several people...
sony head unit running 4 4" speakers and 2 tweeters... 800w RMS 4 channel amp running 2 200w RMS 6x9s and 400w RMS sub...
drains the battery quickly and the headlights dim when its at full whack, upto about 20mph... so it is taking a lot of power...
the tacho is in.. and i tried the wire, however something occured to me... the stereo was variable with the volume, dependant on the SPEED of the vehicle, not the REVS of the vehicle..
When wiring it up ( tried it non the less ) it just read 0, unfortunatly, i was only holding the wires...

forced air induction is different from iduction kits, they dont feed on ambient air being forced into the engine bay...
ram chargers etc have special designed mountings etc, that sit right behind the grille, and there is no escape for air getting in its path, they are usually carbon fibre, etc...
i got a good one from caraudiodirect.com but there is other ones out there, depending on your amp...
upto 500w - .5 farad should be enough, about £50
upto 1000w - 1 Farad minimum - £100
over 1000w - 1.5 - 2 farad £150 upwards...
note that these are watts in RMS, not 1000w max or peak...
mine starting making this noise, then evetually made a grinding noise ( a loud one at that ) becuase the pads had worn right down to the metal backing... they seem to wear really quick...

as soon as you hit 21, phone greenlight, there quoting me £1037 for my car, everything declared, 1 yr NCB and 1 accident...
but as pointed out, insurance at that age aint cheap, especially if you are wanting to mod :S
thats sh*t mate... i know what it feels like, broke up with someone and the f***ing bunny boiler scratched my rear passenger side panel...

i dont think id even have to tap into it :D ive got a sony head unit now, only the renault one does it ( unless it features it specifically )
so i could just use that i suppose :D
I think that may be enough for it to work as it is a digital guage with digital display, so dont see any need...
