The problem with using bike bodies more often not is the throttle control. Bikes are obviously twist and go, requiring less force and movement between closed and WOT. When using them in a car they can be very off/on. However it has been done many times before.

Use a longer bolt on the middle ARB bushes. You'll know what I mean when you need it.

Personally I don't like bike bodies on cars, there not nice to drive, as many have said there suited to 10k+rpm, something you won't be achieving. The power curve will be awful, nothing until peak power.

Passed the MOT, however the drivers electric motor died. So rather than replace I went to a scrappy and got these... 2x manual window regs, and a low spec dash:) More wiring to be removed:) Should save a bit of weight whilst being able to open my windows!

Forget it, I seen that you can get them (Just rang up asking for some from renault) so i'm off to breakers.

I assume you can buy the motor separate to the regulator? If so any ideas on cost? Is there a model that came with keep fit windows that I can retrofit into my track car?

I lost the heaters in my nova, I strongly suggest keeping them. I bought a heated screen for that in the end. Worked well. Doing a wet trackday seeing next to nothing is real FAIL!

This is a nice break from all the house work i've been doing!

Painted the 2.0 16v signs yellow Hoovered and fitted the seats and harnesses... I've also painted the rear wheels and am waiting to lacquer them tomorrow. So that should mean the car can be used again:)

I have Gaz on my coupe, had it on my nova. I like it no probs. Mates got them on his nova another on his golf another on his astra no problems at all. HOWEVER due to all the bad publicity they get on here I don't think I'll go for them on the Clio.

Thanks matey Cheers mate, yeah it not hard, get to the ecu then follow the colours back. Be careful of the handbrake light wire as it's part of the driver seat loom, remove that one and your fine to cut the drivers and passenger looms out. Pass airbag is easy to get out too. Drivers a bit more...
