i read the first 5 pages, the 6th was a page too far, my opinions are these, and i dont care if i upset any1, and i dont even need a knowledge of anything to make this judgement...
BenR has 14 years of motorsport background, he works in teh industry, hes been playing with cars since before you...
is the damage covered by warranty?
specially as its their fault for not checking it, and ppl wonder why i hate dealerships so much lol, they have no idea about anything
got a snap-on 3-tonne jack, a 15 year old giant orange 3-tonner and a 2tonne halfords-type cheapo one
technicalyl they are my dads, but theya re in the garage so they nare now mine too, the cheapo one is going strong after about 5 years, bear in mind it gets used all weekend every weekend...
indeed they do, so far every1 who wanted it and didnt drop out has kept their name down, im waiting on replies from 2 ppl still tho, so at the mo there are 5 confirmed, but with time on our side now hopefully a few more ppl will get paid this week and realise they can afford it and join the buy...
the buy has been put on hold for a few weeks to gather more interest as some people dropped out!
so youve got another week or so to find some money if any1 was still interested ;)
handling isnt proportional to ride height tho, so saying "im gonna drop 80mm cos it handles better than 60mm" is an assumption not fact, it may work, but it may not!
£557.40 after VAT for the 5lb kit, were getting it for £445
plus it comes with the venom injector, were getting the better crossfire one, plus a few other extras thrown in!
yeh the fuel is injected and thats what the setting up is needed for
advice is never free tho, so give us £445 and we will give you the advice and throw in a kit for free :D
we have 10, well 9 but il buy 2 kits if we dont get a 10th, there are about 6-10 people still pondering tho, so im trying to chase up interest and see if they are or not
the 11lb kit will be £490 +£16p&p
yep universal, the kit shown above is for injected cars only, and probably only 4 cylinders (altho it can do straight-6 engines too i think)
if you have a V6/8/12/etc or a carb setup then you will need a different kit, but this can be provided in the group buy too and proportional discounts...

hahaha genius ben, thats given me a cunning plan now!!
build a small plastic box with the solenoids in, and connect the wires to a multiplug, unclip the plug, unclip the box, gone! :D
and i spose the bottle can remain there if there are no solenoids! "oh yes mr insurance surveyor, thats my...
if the bottle isnt connected its fine! at the end of the day its JUST an injector, thats there for off-road use! with nowt connected its no different to having a turbo bolted in your engine bay with no hoses/pipes on it!
if you get it fitted by an approved dealer then insurance companies are more likely to cover you
im not telling mine, just gonna hide it well and make sure i can get the bottle out damn fast lol, then if i crash and i can still walk i can launch it into a bush or summin :D
if i hadnt been made redundant last week i was gonna buy extras, ive got the cash to do it, the problem is i dunno if im gonna have another job when the pay stops from this one! and seeing as i have about 13 days to get a new job lined up its not looking promising
i know that a friend of mine...
ok we now have 9 confirmed and 5 still considering, and ideally about 5 days left to get a 10th person to confirm! any more takers here? this forum has given the largest response so far ;)
cheers guys
JIM
cant you just stick an exhaust clamp on there, and tighten it up VERY tight?
shocking weld tho, i could do better with a deodorant can, a lighter and some solder :D
ermm if youre gonna go all out on it and arent scared of f**king it up completely you could try and do a proper job?
as in do the basics like remove casting flaws, then do the more advanced stuff like multi-angle valve seats, create a smoother path for airflow, etc
however its bloody hard...
well with yourself we will have 12 on the list, 7 have definitely confirmed, 2 were very interested and im expecting them to confrim later this week, and the other 3 are like yourself and still pondering.
stee69...its a fair point, but if you look at BenRs post count you will see hes been around here a fair while!
as for me, il give you my name, address, youll have my bank details, hell il give you my national insurance number and my mothers date of birth if it makes you feel better lol
