Welcome! I hope you enjoy the clio. I have just recently sold my 306 rallye and bought a 172 cup. Im loving it apart from the lack of noise, which the 306 had!

Oh i bet you wish you had sold it to me when i wanted to buy it before i bought my cup matey! Somebody give this car a good home, it truly is mint, it has been really well looked after. Gib spends more time faffing and cleaning and polishing this car than he does with his GF, lol !

I did a 3 hour drive up to Newcastle, reset the the computer in my cup before i set off, filled up when i got there and checked the mpg figures. The car said i was doing 41mpg, the calculator said 33. Whats the crack there then? How does the car work out how much fuel it has used?

Thanks for the comments! :-) She is a belter and i dont really want to sell, but my cup ive just bought was local, mint and a good price so i could do with shifting the rallye on. Or get my mrs to get a job really near to home and sell her car so we can keep the pug lol

Christ, if it went for that much, you would need to be making at least £3500-£4000 a week to make that pay!!!!

Yes this is what i am liking a lot about the cup. 40 mpg should be possible on a motorway run should it? with high 30's as an average if driven sensibly? Oh i cant wait until friday!!!!!!!! Rallye will maybe do 30 mpg if it is driven by my mother, lol, and more like 25 when im going to work in...

Yeah i am the new owner, Hello to you all lol. I suspect that we will be spending next saturday cleaning her up Gib and farting about taking some pics, so ill do a thread then :-) then maybe we will take it for a blast, against the rallye !

Its a little beast! We will have to go up to JDM and have a blast on the rollers when you get it back on the road again matey.

A clio cup with a rallye gear box would be awesome lol, through 1st and 2nd its pretty damn close, even though this little beast of a cup has 30bhp more than my rallye.
