  RB 182FF, Saxo Track Car.
Snapped belt, bent valves etc. You'd have to be unlucky for it to snap on your way home, but it is a canny drive and is possible!

its only done 20K so that's a plus, fact its 6 years old and hasn't been changed is a minus so its about 50 50. If your a member of the AA and have roadside relay, call them up get them to come look at the car just say you think the cambelt may be slipping nothing else. If they don't tow you home then you will have a receipt from the AA mechanic to say they think your car is ok to get you home and if it breaks on the way back it will be their problem. Its not cheep to change due to the size of the engine and the small engine bay and it doesn't help the fact parts are not cheep either.

Good Luck!

Can you not trailer it?

Think about it, your asking a 6 year old (relatively) unused brittle piece of rubber to contain your engines sanity for what, 600 miles???

Is it black? I know the guy selling it if it is, it is a good clean example. IMO it would probably be fine on your way home, just take it easy.

2k with no cambelt done.
Bit low for a car with 20k miles on it?

Mate, offer him 3k WITH the cambelt done (get him to f**k about doing it). If he accepts that great, but i would have thought he will push for a few hundered more.

Not many 20k RSs about

Still a six year old car though, Cars with less miles normally encounter more problems than cars with higher miles, If that makes sense.
